The title "Spade"
was a childhood name given to Alex by his older brothers, where each had names
that began with an "S" to form a group titled "Triple S"
(Spade, Stitch & Seka). As a disk jockey performer, DJ S.P.A.D.E.
filled rooms with great fun and excitement, and crowds usually expanded beyond
the party area to crowded hallways.
Autobiography:
"Music was in my
soul since the age of ten, an independent writer trying to be a rapper.
While rapping was fun, playing music was more appealing, and while other
kids collected video games and watched cartoons on television, there was this
one kid with a collection of music who was constantly in his room working on
mixes and listening to various songs, even sleeping to them overnight. That kid
was me.
Generally, the popularity
of my household brought many visitors and parties would normally develop.
The music was most likely played by me. I would always use my
allowance at the music store and collect all the new releases. One day, a next
door neighbor began to take notice and requested that I play music for his
birthday party. It was the first gig for this young kid, and it was the most
exciting thing I have ever participated in. That was the moment I knew DJing
was for me. My music collection filled the neighbor's apartment with so many
partygoers that even the hallway got crowded. It wasn't what I had but rather
how I played what I had. While I loved to perform all my life, I've been a true
DJ since 2005. Some say experience is needed to sound good. I say love
comes first and experience follows. My love for music reflects in my
performance and people are noticing".
